Check Electrical Wiring

Heat exposure can contribute to the deterioration of wiring insulation over time. Cracks, loose connections, or exposed sections may interfere with electrical operation.

Maintain the Air Conditioning

The air-conditioning system plays an important role in passenger comfort during warm weather. A restricted cabin air filter can reduce airflow and affect ventilation.
Replace the filter according to the vehicle’s maintenance schedule and keep exterior air inlets reasonably clear of debris.

Monitor the Battery

High temperatures can accelerate battery aging, although the effect varies according to battery type and vehicle design. Slow starting, dim dashboard lighting, or unusual electrical behavior may indicate that the battery requires attention.
Periodic battery testing can help identify declining performance. For vehicles with high-voltage battery systems, follow the manufacturer’s maintenance recommendations.

Respond to Warning Signs

Unusual smells, visible vapor, warning lights, or a rapidly rising temperature gauge require immediate attention. When safe, move to an appropriate location and switch off the engine.
If a tire suddenly loses pressure, maintain a firm grip on the steering wheel, avoid abrupt steering movements, and slow down gradually. If the engine overheats, allow it to cool before examining the cooling system. Never remove a hot coolant cap because pressurized coolant can cause serious burns.
